VALLEELAKE 2 being our newest acquisition (2009) is a very exciting lake , fish stocks have prospered in the 24 acre lake being virtually unfished until now and left to their own devices for at least 30yrs. Feeding on the hugely rich environment achieving sizes in excess of 55 lb + and greater for Common and Mirror Carp.
Original stocking records have been difficult to trace (due to the lake never been a commercial fishery) however large quantities of fish are present in the lake and are easily spotted all over the lake making stalking a great prospect.
Early test fishing this year has brought many large fish to the bank in just a few short overnight sessions already ! With many anglers catching 40lb+ Mirrors on their first session!
Local anglers who fished the lake prior to our acquisition have caught verified 50lb + Mirrors and Common Carp, and a staggering 70kg (150LB) Catfish being one of the largest recorded in 2008!
Additional stock have been also ordered for this winter (2009) with ~ 2 tone of stock Carp in the excess of 40lb making exciting prospects for the new opening for April 2010.
Large Silver fish, such as Roach, Rudd, and Perch are present together with Large Pike and Huge Catfish. Our Bailiff catching one of the many large silver fish present a Beautiful Rudd at over 3lb proving the float angler can also prosper on this lake.
Updates will be posted regularly this year with catch reports and venue updates – bookings are now been taken for April 2010 and beyond.
